Katie Kring is the owner and Head Baker of B+B Boulangerie and Lead Instructor of KatieMade Baking & Cooking School. She has been baking professionally for over eight years, and teaching for four. In 2016, Katie was named one of Feast Magazine’s Rising Star Chefs, and has won numerous Best in 417 awards for her various baked goods. Prior to her career as a baker, Katie earned degrees in music and musical theatre writing from the University of Michigan and New York University, and continues to write choral music and musicals that are performed around the country. She also worked for several years in professional theatre. Katie lives right here in Rountree with her two dogs.
Gretchen Wright is a Rountree native with a passion for teaching and baking. Prior to becoming a baker, Gretchen taught English in Korea, scuba diving in Indonesia, and tap dancing at Springfield Little Theatre. She holds a degree in musical theatre performance from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She served as general manager for one bakery in Washington, DC, and lead baker for another. She currently serves as our Lead Baker, specializing in cakes and breads, and teaches classes in cookie decorating, tarts, cakes, and more.
