We'll be making some of our favorite pies, including Bourbon Maple Pecan Pie, Askinosie Chocolate Turtle Pie and S'Mores Pie, and Apple-Thyme pie. Learn all about good crust-making technique, about working with chocolate, and lots of other tips and tricks to make pie-making easy as, well, pie. You'll go home with three mini pies (which can be frozen to enjoy later), as well as recipes and great information from this fun, hands-on class.

Get in the spirit of the season by making beautiful hand-iced Christmas cookies! We'll roll out and bake sugar cookies, learn about working with royal icing, and let our creativity run wild as we decorate Christmas trees, candy canes, ornaments, stockings, snowflakes, and more! Once the icing is dry (the next day), you'll be able to take home your cookies, and they'll keep till Christmas (unless you eat them first)! This is a great class to take with friends!

Introduction to Bread Baking – January 18 & 19, 2020
Come learn how to make great bread the KatieMade way! We'll learn about mixing, kneading, hydration, shaping, fermentation, and more, and eat some great bread while we're at it! We'll be exploring three different kinds of Italian bread dough and make table bread, ciabatta, focaccia, baguettes, bread bowls, Sicilian bread and more. You'll go home with lots of useful knowledge, and an armload of terrific bread!

Pretzelmaking Class – February 1 & 2, 2020
Who doesn't love pretzels? We'll try our hands at a variety of different pretzel types, including traditional Bavarian, Parmesan Peppercorn, and sweet Scandinavian Kringla. We'll get lots of practice shaping and twisting pretzels, and learn various methods to achieve that unique pretzel crust. We'll be exploring the wild world of wild yeasts in a variety of different tasty breads in this fast-paced, hands-on class.
